David Buchanan, age 59, of Baytown, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. He was born on August 26, 1954 in Baytown to Vester James and Theonila "Babs" Jurek Buchanan. On March 30, 1974, he married Trudy Taylor at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baytown. David always put his family first; he loved to ride his motorcycle. He loved anything outdoors, especially fishing. David retired from Exxon Chemical after 30 years. David is survived by his wife Trudy Buchanan of Baytown; mother, "Babs" Buchanan; son, Matthew Buchanan of Baytown; daughter Misty Buchanan and husband David Turman of Baytown; 3 sisters, Linda Joyce Buchanan, Marianne Bjork and husband Kevin, and Judy Lynn Buchanan; brother, Charles Earl Buchanan of Canyon City, CO; grandchildren, Alexander and Alexis Turman; Mother-in-law Alyce Taylor of Baytown; Brother-in-law, Dennis Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Vester James Buchanan, and brothers, Michael Buchanan and James Buchanan. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10 AM in The Chapel of Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home with Deacon George Rincon officiating.
