George's family moved to Baytown in the 1940's where he attended schools, graduating from Robert E Lee High School and attended Lee College. George served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1957. In his early years George worked for The Texas Highway Dept., Sears, and Armco Steel. During the 1960's he worked for Baytown Motors and Busby Buick selling new cars. In 1970 George opened his own used car dealership, G T Motors, until he retired in 2013.
