“Thinking of you at this time. Herb was a very enjoyable person. I had only met him once, but he left fond memories. ”

Herbert "Herb" Joseph Bruns was born on May 13, 1939 in St. Henry, Ohio to Victor and Regina Albers Bruns. He grew up in Cold Water, Ohio and graduated from Cold Water High School. He received an accounting degree from Albuquerque University and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He was a practicing C.P.A. for TLC Corporation in Houston before his retirement. Herb was a devout Christian, a devoted father, grandfather and husband, and a very good friend to many. He was particularly fond of his friends and fellow employees at TLC. Herb was always eager to help in any way he could and was ready with a smile and encouragement just when you needed it.
Herb will be greatly missed by his wife and all of his family and friends. He has left us to join his Heavenly Father and those of us left behind will feel a great sense of loss but know that we were very fortunate to have had Herb in our lives.
Herb is survived by his wife, Lenora, daughter, Cara Patton, 4 sons: Robert (Teresa), John, and Paul Bruns, and Michael Aymes (Shawnda). He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Bruns and grandchildren: Samuel, Jacob, Molly and Sophie Bruns and Mason, Amanda, and Shailey Aymes. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Rita Dues and Mary Bruns Yeager and brothers: Paul and David Bruns.
There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday, July 2 , 2014 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas.
