Joey Garcia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 15, 2013. He was born in Baytown, Texas, on October 9, 1956. Joey attended Lee High School, attended Lee College and graduated from San Jacinto College. After college, he went into the United States Air Force for six years and upon being honorably discharged, he went to work for GTE and for AT&T, where he worked for thirty years as a Telecommunication Technician.

Joey was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Joey also enjoyed spending time with his family and appreciated the small things in life.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. The service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1010 Birdsong. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
