Kelly Marie Beauchamp, of Baytown, Texas, died Monday, December 2, 2013, at her home in Richmond, Texas. Kelly was born on January 15, 1963, in Houston, Texas, to Virginia Wheelis. She resided in the city of Baytown for nearly 35 years. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Master's Degree in Education. Kelly devoted her working career to teaching elementary children. She was best known for her years as a fourth grade teacher at James Bowie Elementary, where she taught with a joy and passion that was matched by few others. The enthusiasm in which she taught with everyday culminated into her crowing career achievement, being named the Teacher of the Year in the State of Texas in 2004.While living in Baytown, Kelly was an active member in the parish of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Baytown Historical Society.

Kelly is survived by her husband Bill; three children, JW, Jennifer, and Brian; mother, Virginia; sisters, Tommie, Shawn, and Patricia. The family will receive visitors at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home on Thursday, December 5, 2013, from 6 – 8 p.m., with a rosary taking place at 6:15 p.m. The family requests that no flowers be sent, but rather make a donation in Kelly's name to any of the numerous cancer societies for research.
