Lloyd Weldon Gigout, age 87 1/2, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2014. He was born in Baytown, Texas on July 12, 1926.

Lloyd happily married at a young age, and shortly thereafter, he left to serve in the Army during World War II. When he returned from the war, he began working in the oil fields for Mills Bennett Estates, where he was employed until his retirement, at the age of 62. At that time, he started his own business, J&L Pumping. Lloyd found great pleasure in spending time with his family, as well as worshipping the Lord at Mercy Gate Church, where he was a member for most of his adult life. He also enjoyed working out at Eagle Pointe gym, watching professional football, and drinking coffee with his buddy. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh, and he was loved and respected by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his first love of 57 years, Jacqueline Wanda Cowey; his second love of 5 years, Rose Sharon Henderson; his oldest son, Lloyd Michael Gigout; and his brother, Carrol Gigout.

Those left to cherish his memories include Jennifer Gigout (Mike's wife); his son, Donnie Ray Gigout (wife Bettye Joe); daughters, Linda Kay Walker (husband James) and Pamela Fauvette Buras (husband Barry); grandchildren, Tami Walker, Lloyd Kevin Trousdale (wife Wendy), Shane Gigout (wife Kathy), Brandon Gigout (wife Holly), Sonya Trousdale Bayliss (husband Lance), James Walker, Jr (wife Nico), Josh Gigout (wife Misty), Jeremy Buras (wife Amber), Lacy Gigout, and Cherith Gigout; brother, Andrew Gigout (wife Robbie) and sister Dorothy Love; as well as 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas. The funeral will be held at Mercy Gate Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas, on Sunday, April 27, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, Texas.
