Otila Martinez, age 81, of Baytown, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 10, 1932, in Harlingen, Texas, to Hilario and Antonia Gonzales Garza. Otila was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved her family very much. She loved to spend time with them, and loved dancing and music. Otila also loved watching her hummingbirds.

She is survived by her children, Carmen Vanpelt of Coleman, TX, Feliz Puente of Houston, Janie Cano and husband Ismael of Baytown, Fernando Puente of Iraq, Marcelo Puente of O'Donnell, TX, Leticia Garza of Alamo, TX, Olivia Francis of Houston, Gracie Camacho of Santa Anna, TX, Toby Camacho of Santa Anna, Cody Uriegas and husband Joe of Houston, Marina Hernandez and husband Luis of Baytown, Jackie Camacho of Devine, TX, and Dagoberto Camacho of Midland, TX; 8 sisters, 9 brothers, 44 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 26, at 7 PM in the Chapel of Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013, at 10 am, at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 800 W Baker Rd, Baytown, with the Rev. Terence P. Brinkman, S.T.D., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
