Robert Lynn Corbett ("Bob") passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, at Houston Hospice. He was born October 7, 1962, in Houston, TX, to Jack and Patsy Corbett.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Pat Corbett; and his sister, Amy Jacklyn Corbett. He is survived by father, Jack Corbett, of Anahuac; sister, Teri Corbett and significant other, Mark Swint, of Houston; brother, Stephen Corbett and wife, Christi, of San Diego; niece, Hannah Belle Norris; nephew, Henry Duke Corbett; uncles and aunts, Bill and Bobbie LeBlanc, David and Sonya Corbett, Veronica Corbett; cousins, Jennifer Mendez and husband, Nash, Tracy Speegle and husband, Bob, Bridget Green and husband, Brad, Shannon Hoggatt and husband, Don, David Anderson, Mark Earl Corbett, Keith Corbett and wife, Erica; and numerous close friends.
Like his laugh, his compassion, and his devotion, Bob's spirit was larger than life. His heart was so giving, and for those lucky enough to be friends with him, quickly became family. Bob was passionate about his lifelong devotion to his ministry of music and the Liturgy of the Catholic Church. He was always willing to lend assistance to the less fortunate. Bob was a committed friend and family member, always there to listen or lend a shoulder, as well as to celebrate and laugh. He leaves behind many great memories, so many good times and laughs, as well as family and friends who will miss him greatly.

The family will receive friends at St John The Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary being said at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, with Rev. Terence P. Brinkman, S. T. D. and Rev. William Oliver serving as co-celebrants. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Mike Ainsworth, Jim Gerlich, Jerry Gerlich, Tommy Gill, Wesley Westbrook and Stephen Corbett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in Bob's name, to the American Cancer Society (http://www.cancer.org) or to the National Alliance to End Homelessness (http://www.endhomelessness.org).
