Ubaldo Julio "Chico" Arizmendi passed away January 5, 2014 at the age of 59. He was born on February 19, 1954 in Brownsville, Texas, to Ubaldo Cantu Arizmendi and Guadalupe "Lupita" Coronado. He graduated from Brownsville High School in 1972.
"Chico" was employed for over 30 years by Bayer Corporation before retiring as an operator. Chico loved spending time on the golf course, camping, fishing, and really loved barbecuing.
He is survived by his two sons Julio Ubaldo Arizmendi and Andres Tomas Arizmendi; his parents, Ubaldo Cantu Arizmendi and Lupita Arizmendi; brother Arturo Arizmendi and wife Helen and their three daughters Ashley, Ariel and Alisa; brother Edward Arizmendi and wife Anke and son Paul; sister Belinda Arizmendi; sister Helen Mebane and husband Walter and their son and daughter David Mebane and Leslie McClain.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial services will be held at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, 77521.
