Don "Winde" Windemiller, Sr. passed away on Monday,April 13, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born August 11, 1935, in Washington, D.C. to John J. Windemiller and Nora Belle Windemiller. Mr. Windemiller was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. His love and presence in our lives will be deeply missed.

Mr. Windemiller is survived by his wife, Jane Windemiller; son, Don Windemiller, Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Baytown, Texas; son, John Windemiller II and wife, Rhonda, of Liberty, Texas; daughter, Eva Sanders and husband, Larry, of Baytown, Texas; daughter, Sherri Iliev and husband, Velizar, of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Wendy and husband, Francisco Moran, of Austin, Texas; daughter, Debbie Jenkins and husband, Dewayne, of Brooks, GA; grandsons, Daryl and Eric Start, Jacob McClain, Trey and Bryan Windemiller, John III, Justin, and Jordan Windemiller, Dustin Ellerbe, Taylor Jenkins, Keith and Byron Jones, James Harmes and Marcus Haffelgrave; granddaughters, Crystal Rosenthal, Lauren and Christine Jenkins; great grandchildren, Daryl "Duke", Taylor and Eric Shawn Start, Josiah McClain, Curtis Rosenthal, and Carter Windemiller; brother, Duane Windemiller, of Hampton, New Hampshire; and sister, Joy Meyers and husband, Fenton, of Clarksville, Tennessee. Mr. Windemiller was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Neila Rohr, and stepdaughters, Dorothy Haffelgrave and Delores Young.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, 281.839.0700.
