Woodrow Wilson Walker, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 19, 2012. He was born September 3, 1941, in Baytown, to Woodrow Wilson, Sr. and Ollie Mae Carter Walker. After serving in the United States Army, Mr. Walker became a pipe fitter and worked as a Foreman for LWL Inc. and other companies. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mary Janowski. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Walker; sons, Carl Miller and wife, Judy, of Highlands, William Salzarulo and wife, Caroline, of Selma, AL; daughters, Sally Speers and husband, Poggee, of Baytown, Dawn Mizell and husband, James, of Baytown, and Malissa Ward, of La Porte; brothers, Eddie Glynn Walker, Lynn Walker and wife, Bonnie; he has 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Walker at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 3811 North Main St. Baytown, Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., with Pastor Mike Proctor, officiating.
